PBL: Presenting Student Outcomes and Evaluating Results

Our students can present final product by verbal reporting with posters or slideshows because there are only 25 students in my school. Even though we can invite parents and other people in our community to the presentation. Secondly, we can record a video of the process of students’ presentation and then upload the viedo on iEARN international conference to share it for collabrative peers around the world. We can also post relative photos, essays, articles, poems, etc. on the Blogs so that either of local and global audiences can accurately understand the project outcomes and discusss it. The most important element of sharing outcomes is the “Internet”!

Assesment is definitely important through which we could ensure that students are always moving forward on their own learning continuum. The objects of assesment should include teachers and students. Teachers should ensure that they are teaching what they think they are teaching, and students are learning what they are supposed to be learning. The best assessments which determine that students are meeting the goals depend on the gap between what the learner knows and needs to know. As our school and partner school chose the pathway of Consumption and Waste, students should strengthen their capabilities such as survey, analysis, graph, collabration and so forth. Therefore, an analysis graphs, a report, and a public representation are the best ways to determine the objectives of the project. The importantly, never evaluate students only by writing examinations.(大坪國小,104-11-07)
