Rainwater harvesting system

To reply Global Warming and Climate Change, we built a Rainwater Harvesting System four years ago. The system can save 15 tons of rainwater to irrigate butterfly flowers and host plants. (Reference: https://ecodaping.blogspot.tw/2015/07/us-taiwan-eco-campus.html) Therefore the garden is rich in butterfly diversity. According to our investigation, there are about 40 kinds of butterfly on the campus.

Butterflies will come when flowers in efflorescence.

四年前建置的雨水回收系統、生態工法的池子,以及孩子們共同營造的蝴蝶花園,終於有了驚人的蝴蝶多樣性!俗話說,花若盛開,蝴蝶自來!參考網址:

In addition, rainwater is also supplied into the ecological pond. The pond is full of various aquatic plants and animals, especially tadpoles. (Reference: https://ecodaping.blogspot.tw/2013/03/blog-post_29.html) That is why the campus is full of croak of frogs after evening.

In consideration of the rich diversity of insect and being an eco-campus partner school, we built the insect trail on the campus. Children can explore various styles of insects along the trail. Of course, they could also study English here.(105-07-18,大坪國小)
